Dig-a-Well

On the authority of Sa‘d ibn ’Ubadah (ra) who said, ’I asked, “O Messenger of Allah! Which charity is best?” He [saw] replied, “Providing water”’. (Ibn Majah)

Entire communities can change when they have access to clean water. Up to 200 people can benefit from a Dig-a-Well gift, which gives them access to clean water for cooking, washing, and drinking as well as for hydrating livestock. These wells can provide for up to 35 families on average.

Families that work in agriculture or farming would benefit greatly from Dig-a-Wells. The wells are dependable year-round because they extract water from as deep as 40 meters below the surface.
