Masjids |
A masjid is at the heart of any local Muslim community. It provides a place for its worshippers to pray and contemplate as well as being a hub for educational programmes and other everyday services.
The role of the masjid is to help people learn more about Islam and to nurture their moral and spiritual development.
By building a masjid you will not only earn the reward of providing a community with a house of Allah, but your Sadaqah Jariyah will continue giving benefits for generations to come insha’Allah.

Mosques commonly serve as locations for prayer, Ramadan activities, funeral services, marriage and business agreements, alms collection and distribution of donations, as well as homeless shelters. Historically, mosques have served as a community center and a religious school.
When the mosque has a bank balance of lakhs of rupees then there is no need to receive donations. If the money is more than the need then you can spend it in any other needy mosque with the advice of responsible persons. It is not lawful to open and run hospitals, colleges etc with this money.
Your donation towards the construction of a mosque can help build communities and promote spiritual and mental well-being. “By no means shall you attain Al-Birr (righteousness, piety) unless you give (freely, in Allah’s Cause) of that which you love: and whatever of good you spend, Allah knows it well.”
In Islam, donating to a masjid is highly regarded as an act of charity (sadaqah) and a means to purify one’s wealth. It is considered a virtuous deed that brings spiritual rewards and blessings in this life and the hereafter.
