KKB continues to support Gaza’s vulnerable people as death toll tops 20,000
KKB is supporting vulnerable people in Gaza with food, water and medical supplies as the death toll from the ongoing escalation passes 20,000.
More than 20,000 people have been killed in Gaza since the escalation began, including over 4,000 children, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
Dangerous conditions have left many Palestinians unable to work and job losses in Gaza and the West Bank are costing Palestinians a combined $16 million each day, according to the United Nations.
Unemployment was a serious issue in Gaza even before the current escalation, but now an estimated 182,000 jobs – equivalent to 61% of total employment – have been lost.
KKB’s response
Amid extremely challenging conditions, KKB staff and partners on the ground continue to support vulnerable people in Gaza, whenever it is safe to do so.
We have helped to feed more than 22,500 of families in shelters with warm meals, fresh vegetables and ready to eat food parcels.
As water shortages continue, KKB has provided more than 15,500 people with water, and more than 8,000 with hygiene and dignity kits.
As well as supporting people on the ground, we continue to advocate for an immediate ceasefire and for international law to be upheld by all parties.
Please help KKB to support and stand up for people in desperate need in Gaza.
